ELECTRIC SHAVER: An Edge in your hand now
Gone are those days where you lined up yourself at the barbershop to get your shaving done. It’s a fast world out here, to the fast pace of life; electric shaver has given us an age, a shortcut. Let me describe few things about it to start with.
INTRODUCTION
Electric shaver is of basic utility for men when it comes to quality and saving time. Various companies manufacture electric shaver of which you have to choose the best one that suits you. Few of the brands are Panasonic, Braun, Philips, Remington, Wahl Clipper, Epilate, and Payer etc. Women also use these but those for women are cheaper because, for women, efficiency is not needed so less powerful is the motor as they have soft and small hairs. Women use this for shaving legs, arms, underarms, etc.
HISTORY
Initially the electric shaver were not the electric one they had one thread which has to be pulled to rotate the blades then came the shaver which were not cordless. The earlier shavers were not used with the foaming gel or the soaps they were used on dry skin but now shavers are used with the gel. Jacob Schick invented it in 1920.
TYPES
there are various types of electric shaver – double header, triple headed, foil headed, rotary headed. The foil shaver helps in giving the close shave. The rotary shaver helps in removing the left out small hairs. Foil shaver does not cause irritation to the skin but rotary cause’s irritation.
PARTS
the parts of the electric shaver are – head frame or the outer foil, the inner foil, the battery, the cutting block, the blade, the handle.
ADVANTAGES
Electric shaver are always better than the razors because it saves time, no need to change the blades so frequently as their blades does not becomes blunt so easily, it can be carried anywhere, with electric shaver there are less chances of injury or the wound because new blades of the razor are very sharp.
DISADVANTAGES
There are only few drawbacks of electric shaver over razor. Few people believe that electric shaver shaves superficially and not properly, does not shave the hard hairs, electronics can get broken or any of the part cab get damaged, it might cause irritation to the skin which is very sensitive sometimes it causes the burning sensation on the face, it is expensive than the razor. However these are only limited too few, the fact is you can never found anyone around say saying that these are bad and not worthy.
The bottom line if want a ready-made solution to get rid of your hairs, electric is the best thing you can get.
